Terms of Service
LiveHosts is in the process of forming its legal entity. Once that completes, this page will name the entity and its governing state. The commitments below apply now regardless.
These terms are the agreement between you and LiveHosts for using LiveHosts. By creating an account you accept them.
What LiveHosts is — and is not
LiveHosts is a marketplace. Brands and agencies post live-shopping work, hosts apply for it, and the two agree terms directly with each other. We provide the place where that happens and keep the record of what was agreed. We are not part of the payment between them.
We are not the employer of hosts. Hosts using LiveHosts are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents, partners or joint venturers of LiveHosts, and nothing here creates an employment relationship. Hosts decide whether to apply for work, which sessions to accept, and how to perform them. Hosts are responsible for their own taxes, insurance and any licences their work requires.
We are not a party to the work itself. The agreement to perform a live session is between the host and the brand. We are not responsible for a host's performance, a brand's products, or the commercial outcome of any session.
Accounts
You must be 18 or older. Give us accurate information and keep it current, keep your login to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
Money
Hosts are paid by the brand, not by us. When a host and a brand agree a rate, that is an agreement between the two of them, and the brand pays the host directly on whatever terms they set. LiveHosts does not take the payment, hold it, escrow it, or pass it on. We never touch it, and we do not take a share of it.
What brands pay us. Brands and agencies pay LiveHosts a subscription for access to the platform — finding and contacting hosts, posting work, and the tools for running the engagements that follow. Hosts pay us nothing. Subscription pricing and tiers are being finalised and will be published here, and on our pricing page, before anyone is charged.
Subscription billing. Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you chose until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If we change what a subscription costs, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
Hours and sessions. After a session the host records the hours they worked, and where relevant the sales generated. The brand can confirm or adjust that record, and a brand adjusting it downward must give a reason. This exists so both sides have the same picture of what happened and can settle up between themselves accurately — it is not an invoice from us, and nothing in it causes money to move.
Disputes about payment. Because the payment is between the host and the brand, a dispute about it is between the host and the brand. We keep the record of what was agreed and what was logged, and we will share it with both sides to help settle things, but we cannot recover or withhold money we never held. Take that into account when you agree terms with someone.
Working outside the platform
Hosts and brands pay each other directly, so there is no fee to avoid by arranging things elsewhere, and we do not claim ownership of a relationship because it started here. You are not in breach of anything for talking to someone off-platform.
What we ask is that you keep the work itself on it. When applications, agreed rates, schedules and hours are recorded here, both sides have the same account of what was agreed and what happened — which is what we can actually help with when something goes wrong. Off-platform, neither of you has that and neither do we.
Conduct
- Be accurate. Do not misrepresent who you are, your experience, your audience or your products.
- Show up. Hosts are expected to appear for sessions they have claimed; brands are expected to be ready for them.
- Do not harass, abuse or discriminate against anyone on the platform.
- Do not post anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to post.
- Follow TikTok's own rules — a session that breaks them is a problem for everyone involved.
Removal from a job. A brand can remove an accepted host from a job. Doing so cancels that host's remaining future sessions on it. Sessions already completed are unaffected — the brand still owes the host for them on the terms they agreed, and removal does not change that. A removed host cannot reapply to that same posting for 10 days.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload — your photos, clips, profile text and messages. By posting it you give us permission to display it on LiveHosts for the purpose of running the marketplace, and to show your public profile to visitors. You can remove your content or unpublish your profile at any time.
Ending your account
You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. Closing an account ends any subscription at the end of the period already paid for. Anything a brand and a host owe each other is between them and survives the account closing — we hold none of it and cannot settle it on your behalf.
Liability
LiveHosts is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that a host will find work, that a brand will find a host, or that any session will produce sales. To the fullest extent the law allows, LiveHosts is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost sales. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, contact us first — most things are resolved that way, and it is faster than any formal process.
These terms will be governed by the laws of the state in which our company is formed. That formation is in progress, and this section will name the state once it completes.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use LiveHosts after that means you accept the updated terms.
